Different skill development trainings have been conducted for Buffer Zone communities, including Special Target Groups and the poor, with the aim of Building their skills to open up new avenues of income generation for them.

They have been trained in various skills including:

• Off-seasonal vegetable farming
•  Poultry and poultry feed production
• Fish rearing
•  Improved livestock breeding, stall feeding and dairy farming
• Tika, soap, incense making etc
• Weaving
•  Bee keeping

• The skills and knowledge of the Buffer Zone communities have been built in various types of productive economic activities.
• Alternative avenues for income generation have been opened up for them, thus putting them on the road toward economic self-reliance.
