The following have been achieved so far:

- Piloted the Management Plan of Chitwan National Park (2001-2005).

Prepared the final draft of the Management Plan of Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve, which is awaiting approval.

Prepared the final draft of the Management Plan of Khaptad National Park and had it reviewed.
-
The review and revision of the Management Plan of Chitwan National Park (2006-2011) has been completed.
- Realigned and restructured the draft Management Plan of Parsa Wildlife Reserve.
- Updated the draft management plan of Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve.
- Published the Resource Profiles of Rara and Khaptad National Parks.

Besides, support has been provided for critical habitat management–grassland and wetland management–across all 7 Parks and Reserves as well as for basic infrastructure construction/maintenance. |

Impacts of Park management/MIS |
- Protected Areas are being managed in a more scientific manner.

Field-level Management Information System has gradually been linked to the central-level database for better management of and sustainable use of Protected Area resources.

Inventory on Park and Buffer Zone resources and their interface with local community needs have been identified (Resource Profiles).
